This megaphone is very strong, and can be heard more than a half mile away. The detachable anti-howl microphone mounts on the back of the megaphone, so that you can just squeeze the trigger on the hand grip, and talk into the back of the megaphone. Or take the microphone off of the back of your megaphone, with the coiled lead, and you can now just squeeze the switch on the side of the microphone while you speak into it, and have the megaphone hanging conveniently from your shoulder with the attached padded strap. The volume control is easily adjusted on the side of the microphone. And if you want some help to get everyone's attention, this megaphone has both a siren and a whistle that you can operate from the slide switch that is mounted neatly at the top of the handle. This unit uses 8 "C" cell batteries (included). Weighs less than 5 pounds with batteries (3 ½ lbs without batteries). It is 13 ½ inches long and the front of the megaphone is 9 inches in diameter.
